Taking a long, warm shower is relaxing, soothing, stress-relieving — and completely unnecessary. While our showers have become our sanctuaries at home, many of us fail to notice the gallons of water we waste each day on 30- to 45- minute showers that should only really take around 5 to 7 minutes. When printing a 20-page paper, it’s easy to forget about all of the ink you’re wasting since you’re busy feeling guilty about all the trees you’ve just killed. Well, EcoFont has come to the rescue.
SPRANQ, a Dutch marketing company based in Amsterdam, has developed an eco-friendly font aptly named EcoFont. It uses up to 20 percent less ink than normal fonts by creating holes in each letters. “After Dutch holey cheese, there now is a Dutch font with holes as well,” they joke on the EcoFont site.
