Our former cover girl Yin Chang, best known as Nelly Yuki from The CW’s “Gossip Girl” will be part of the upcoming Disney film, “Prom,” which is scheduled to be released April 2011. The film follows nine high school seniors, including Chang as “Mei,” as they experience the monumental night of high school. Disney just released the trailer this week, so check it out after the jump and let us know what you think!

From a background dancer to “The Other Asian,” Harry Shum, Jr.’s role as Mike Chang in “Glee” has, to our utmost delight, grown considerably this season, with him coupling up with girlfriend Tina Cohen-Chang during the charming duet “Sing!” from A Chorus Line, to his first dancing duet with Mr. Schuester on last night’s episode.
Shum has really come far in this role and his success continues to skyrocket as reliable sources confirm that he will become a series regular next season!

At the Web 2.0 Summit in San Francisco, Zappos CEO Tony Hsieh revealed that they are going to hire 2,000 employees (seasonal and full-time) in 2011. So if you’re looking for a job in the next year, and want to work for a booming company, you know where to look. The competition will be tough, however: Zappos received 25,000 job applications last year—and only hired 250 people, a low 1% acceptance rate.

American Vogue’s December issue caught our attention with its two-page spread titled, “Asia Major,” featuring Chinese models Du Juan, Liu Wen, Bonnie Chen and Lily Zhi; South Korean models Hyoni Kang, So Young Kang and Lee Hyun; and Japanese model Tao Okamoto.
It’s not often that you see an Asian model take center stage in the fashion industry, whether on a cover of a magazine or as the first face of a top brand fashion show—so the fact that American Vogue is placing the spotlight on Asian models is incredibly refreshing …

For those of you who unfortunately have to take the dreaded SATs tomorrow, here’s a theory on how you can up your score. An impromptu study conducted by 14-year-old Stuyvesant High School student Milo Beckman argues that if you write a longer essay on your SATs, you’ll get a higher score regardless of what you write. Yes, he’s only 14, but his theory has received support from M.I.T. Professor Perelman, who has also conducted research and found that 90 percent of the time, you can predict SAT essay’s scores just …
