I have collected a lot of jewelry over the years—mostly from antique stores, friends and family. Some of it is pretty tacky (because who really needs a sparkly, silver flip-flop charm dangling from her neck?? Our photo editor Mandy had the opportunity to stop by Nicola’s last week, where Uniqlo and Nicola Formichetti presented their new line. Widely known as Lady Gaga’s stylist and the creative director of Mugler, Formichetti, who is half Italian and half Japanese and often called “Nico Panda” by friends and fans since he resembles an Asian bear, collaborated with Uniqlo as thestyle director for its latest collection, the Innovation Project.

Spotted: Grand Promenade at Avery Fisher Hall, Lincoln Center
Why we love their looks: We were immediately drawn toward Sara & Suruzi’s styles when we spotted them at Concept Korea’s presentation and were pleasantly impressed to find out that they are designers themselves and were wearing clothes from their eponymous line, which debuted in 2009. Both graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology with degrees in fashion design, and they decided to start their own contemporary line together right out of school.
