Wet n Wild is one of those secret gems that everyone forgets about once they see the sparkling displays of Sephora and Mac. And while they do fall short on some products (there is just no way a $3 mascara could work, in any world), they also have produced some great products as well. As the summer days approach, eyeshadow primer is a must in order to keep color from sliding off your eyelids. We compare two great brands: Eyes Lips Face’s (E.L.F.) Mineral Eyeshadow Primer, at only $3 a tube, and the celebrated Urban Decay Primer Potion, which sells at $18 a tube.

Young girls want to look older—until they get older, that is, and want to look young and fresh again. The irony of it all continues to manifest, and it looks like it’s affecting more younger girls than ever before. According to a recent New York Times article, a new study shows the percentage of girls ages 8 to 12 who regularly use mascara and eyeliner almost doubled, from 10 to 18 percent for mascara, and from 9 to 15 percent for eyeliner, between 2007 and 2009.
