To amp you up for the new season of Glee in a few weeks, check out the preview after the jump, which includes a scene where Filipina singer Charice sings Lady Gaga’s “Telephone” with Lea Michele while Jane Lynch watches. As reported, Charice (whose character is named Sunshine), is playing a foreign exchange student who rivals Michele’s character, Rachel.

According to “Glee” creator Ryan Murphy, season two will begin with Tina Cohen-Chang and Mike Chang (the show’s resident Asians, played by Jenna Ushkowitz and Harry Shum, Jr.) dating. We’ve already heard that there would be a love triangle, but the recent news is that Tina dumps Artie because he wasn’t paying enough attention to her needs. Will Artie try to win her back? Will Mike stake his claim on his new love interest? One thing’s for sure: we’re team “Get Harry More Lines” all the way! [via E Online]

During Sunday afternoon’s “Glee” Comic-Con event, a surprising tidbit was revealed about the upcoming second season. Co-creator Ryan Murphy announced that Tina (played by Jenna Ushkowitz) will fall out of love with wheelchair-bound Artie and possibly strike up a romance with our favorite “other Asian,” Mike Chang (played by Harry Shum Jr.). We’ve long awaited a romance and bigger role for the much-underused Harry—could this be his moment? Fingers crossed! [via EW]

For the second half of season one, I couldn’t help but feel Glee has been missing something. Sure, Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth brought star power, and the singing, particularly Lea Michele’s, is undoubtedly phenomenal. But the plot has lacked the sparkle of earlier episodes, and songs (where did the mash-ups go?) have similarly been lackluster.
Season two promises to be different, with Filipina singer Charice joining the Glee cast as an exchange student.

Last night was the anticipated top 10 cut on So You Think You Can Dance’s Season 7 auditions show and unlike past seasons, it was even more emotional (I teared up a few times) and dramatic than usual.
