As if you needed another reason to go to the “Glee” tour, Harry Shum, Jr. just announced yesterday on Twitter and YouTube (video after the jump) that his dance group the LXD (Legion of Extraordinary Dancers) will be joining the “Glee” cast on their 2010 Glee Live Tour, as the opening act. In an earlier post, we mentioned the nationwide “Glee” casting call for new members. Over the past month, the response from hopeful contestants has been overwhelming—according to Mashable.com, almost 28,000 people have posted audition videos on MySpace to date. Due to this incredible reaction from aspiring “Glee” cast members, MySpace has opted to reopen auditions (the deadline was originally yesterday, April 26), from Wednesday, April 28 to Thursday, April 29.

The token Asian TV character is an overused stereotype: academically talented, socially challenged and usually has terrible fashion sense. So imagine my glee at finding an Asian American character who not only sings well, but is edgy without suspenders or glasses in sight.
