I love many kinds of Chinese food, but I’ve never been a huge fan of shark fin soup, a dish that has been regarded for a long time as a traditional Chinese delicacy. Look Good…Feel Better (LGFB) is an American Cancer Society program that allows licensed cosmetologists to teach cancer patients how to use makeup and hair wigs to hide the effects of their treatment. The program is open to any cancer patient at any stage of treatment—from just diagnosed to the early stages of remission.

On March 28, 2011, Joslin’s Asian American Diabetes Initiative (AADI) in Boston, MA will host its annual A Spoonful of Ginger food tasting/art event at the Museum of Fine Arts (MFA) to increase awareness about diabetes and its growing incidence among Asian Americans. The Joslin Diabetes Center helps diabetic patients manage their disease and runs an Asian clinic that specifically addresses the Asian American population.

A recently released government survey of 5,300 young adults aged 15 to 24 suggests that fewer teens are having sex. The proportion of those surveyed who have never had sex rose from 22 to 28 percent over the past decade.
