Harry Shum, Jr. will step into a refreshing action/thriller role in the short film “3 Minutes,” directed by Ross Ching, and costarring Stephen “Twitch” Boss from “So You Think You Can Dance.” Though there’s little information on the film right now, apparently there will be no dancing from Shum in the short—instead the teasers show guns, intense action, and apparently a light saber as well.

From a background dancer to “The Other Asian,” Harry Shum, Jr.’s role as Mike Chang in “Glee” has, to our utmost delight, grown considerably this season, with him coupling up with girlfriend Tina Cohen-Chang during the charming duet “Sing!” from A Chorus Line, to his first dancing duet with Mr. Schuester on last night’s episode.
Shum has really come far in this role and his success continues to skyrocket as reliable sources confirm that he will become a series regular next season!

A while back we reviewed the first season of “The LXD,” which managed to pack everything from ballet to parkour into less than ten minutes each episode. Now “The LXD” is back with the trailer to their second season, and a new tag line: “You’ve met the heroes…now meet the villains.” Where the first season focused on introducing the good guys like Elliot Hoo (Harry Shum, Jr.), this season will feature the villains—and it looks amazing.

The LXD, which just finished its first season on Hulu, takes a mix of the stunts from “The Matrix,” the dance moves from “Step Up” and the awesomeness of Harry Shum, Jr. from “Glee” and manages to pack it into the running time of a short movie. The first season has 10 episodes, each of which focuses on the character and moves of a different dancer.
