Lane Crawford, a leading specialty store in Hong Kong and Beijing, featured all top Chinese models in their fall ad campaign. How ridiculously gorgeous do they all look with their bold, red lipstick, strong eyebrows and slicked back hair? This ad screams Asian power.

American Vogue’s December issue caught our attention with its two-page spread titled, “Asia Major,” featuring Chinese models Du Juan, Liu Wen, Bonnie Chen and Lily Zhi; South Korean models Hyoni Kang, So Young Kang and Lee Hyun; and Japanese model Tao Okamoto.
It’s not often that you see an Asian model take center stage in the fashion industry, whether on a cover of a magazine or as the first face of a top brand fashion show—so the fact that American Vogue is placing the spotlight on Asian models is incredibly refreshing …

Chinese model Liu Wen has been named Estée Lauder’s newest brand ambassador, along with French model Constance Jablonski. After becoming the first Asian model to walk the Victoria’s Secret show, Liu breaks new ground again, as she is the first Asian face of the global luxury cosmetics brand. This is also a first for Jablonski, who becomes the first French girl to be signed to Estée Lauder.

Chinese model Kiki Kang (Chinese name: Kang Qian Wen) is getting a lot of buzz as one of the top new models to break out in the fashion industry. KCD casting director Michelle Lee (who’s in charge of picking models for the Marc Jacobs shows) named Kang one of the top fresh faces to appear on the fall 2010 fashion week runways.
