Presenting his collection on the final day of New York Fashion Week, Cho Cheng wowed his audience with a collection that provided great closure to another exciting fashion week.
We were especially excited to witness the debut of Cho Cheng’s ready-to-wear evening collection, which received a great response from everyone, including Elle magazine’s editor in chief, Robbie Myers. The gowns were Cho Cheng’s interpretation of the iconic Tiffany box, done in a silky charmeuse with dramatic satin bows.

Mochi started off last Saturday morning by visiting the Susan Woo presentation at the Hudson Hotel.
Prior to launching her own collection, Susan Woo had worked for the major fashion houses Louis Vuitton, Chanel and Derek Lam. So it was no surprise that we were impressed by the designer’s beautifully constructed, wearable designs.

To end day two of New York Fashion week, we made our way to the Carlos Campos presentation downtown.
Though designer Carlos Campos is known for his well-tailored, modern menswear (he recently won the Fashion Group International’s Rising Star Award for menswear design in 2009), he’s shown his ability to masterfully create women’s clothing as well, ever since his debut women’s wear line last fall for the spring/summer 2009 show.

Next up at New York Fashion Week, we arrived at the main tent for the Monarchy show.
It was quite a star-studded affair at Monarchy, as the front row included the “world’s first supermodel” Janice Dickinson, actress Jennifer Love Hewitt, America’s Next Top Model’s J. Alexander, Twilight star Kellan Lutz and 90210’s AnnaLynne McCord.

In addition to attending the Twinkle by Wenlan show at Fashion Week in New York, we also caught the Yigal Azrouël show at The Promenade at Bryant Park.
Spring/summer 2010 is all about geometry for Azrouël, who showed some very uniquely cut pieces in both light and structured fabrics. Achieving this look can be done by pairing unusual pieces with more cleanly cut, classic and simple pieces.
